More cheering news from the on going war against terrorism in Nigeria.
Two hundred members of the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram has surrendered after a
fierce battle with the Nigerian Troops in Banki town of Bama local government area of Borno
state.
The Army revealed this on Friday, while chatting with journalists during a Sallah homage paid
on the Threater Command Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General YM Abubakar.
He said, with the successes being recorded in the fight to end the insurgency, the military
was optimistic that they are going to meet the December target of Mr. president.
General Abubakar also said that, the military has arrested a suspected member of the Boko
Haram who wasbat Madinatu Mosque around the low cost with the aim of planting
Improvised Explosive Device, IED at the Mosque.
According to him, the arrested sect member is also helping the military with information,
which led to the arrest of three suspects that detonated a bomb at Ajilari Cross.
He appeal to members of the society, particularly members of the Road Union Transport
Workers, Market Officials, Churches and Mosque to employ youths to keep watch on those
places against unsuspecting terrorists.
