50,000 SOLDIERS FIGHTING BOKO HARAM GET PROMOTION.


In an effort to boost the morale of troops involved in the
anti-insurgency fight, the Nigerian Army has approved
the promotion of 5,000 soldiers deployed to battle
against Boko Haram insurgents in the North-East.
The Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai,
who made this disclosure, also revealed that 3,032
soldiers who were recalled from dismissal had been
reinstated into the ongoing operation against the
insurgents in the North-East.
The COAS made this known during the opening
ceremony of the Chief of Army Staff Third Quarter
Conference in Abuja on Monday.
