NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL OF NIGERIA UNITES AGAINST CORRUPTION.

The National Youth Council of Nigeria, on Thursday in
Abuja converged at the Unity Fountain in solidarity with
President Muhammadu Buhari’s war against
corruption.

Ugochinyere while addressing newsmen at the venue
noted that President Buhari had demonstrated courage
in the war against corruption in his last 100 days.
He stressed that Nigerian youths would continue to
support him because of the danger it portended if
corruption was allowed to continue.
He said: “The biggest casualty of corruption are
Nigerian youths and the biggest beneficiaries of corrupt
free society is also the youths, so the war against
corruption is in the interest of Nigeria youths”, he said.
Speaking at the occasion, former deputy President of
the Senate, Senator Ibrahim Mantu said Youths were
the conscience of the nation and that if the youths were
denied of their fortunes as a result of corruption, the
nation would decay.
He expressed optimism that President Buhari would
succeed in his anti-corruption drive to an extent that it
would be reduced to the barest minimum.
Speaking in the same vein, governor of Katsina State,
who was represented by his Deputy, Balarabe Yakubu
maintained that the state had since keyed into the anti-
corruption drive.
He urged other states to borrow leaf since President
Buhari was already leading the train.
“In Katsina, we have since keyed into anti-corruption
drive and I want to urge other states to do same”, he
noted.
The anti-corruption March was taken to the office of
the Secretary to the Government of the Federation,
while the register of anti-corruption was signed by
personalities that graced the occasion.
