MASSOB LEADER SAYS BIAFRA RADIO DIRECTOR HAS BEEN EXPELLED FROM THE MOVEMENT.

Leader of the Movement for the Actualization of
the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Chief
Ralph Uwazuruike, has disowned the Director of
the pirate Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, who was
arrested yesterday by operatives of the
Department of State Security, DSS.
Uwazuruike, who spoke through his Assistant
Director of information, Mr. Sunday Okereafor, in
Owerri on Monday, described Kanu as a rebel who
had long been expelled by MASSOB for inciting
violence among members.
Noting that Kanu had been summarily dismissed
for breaking the group’s nonviolence approach,
the MASSOB leader insisted that “Kanu’s arrest
has nothing to do with the struggle for a
sovereign state of Biafra.”
He went on to dismiss speculations that MASSOB
was behind the arrest of the Biafra Radio boss,
adding that the movement does not meddle into
unnecessary matters.
