Head coach of the Super Eagles, Sunday Oliseh,
has been flown to Belgium for treatment on
Thursday, after his health condition worsened.
According to the Nigeria Football Federation
(NFF)’s official Twitter handle, the former national
team captain became dizzy and weak after lunch
and had to fly out from Port Harcourt.
“Coach Sunday Oliseh has returned to Belgium to
continue treatment after being advised by Eagles
medics,” the tweet read.
“He became dizzy and weak after lunch on
Thursday and he travels abroad tonight through
the Port Harcourt Airport.”
This means Oliseh will not be on the touchline,
when the home-based Eagles take on Burkina
Faso in Ouagadougou, in the second leg of their
CHAN qualifier this weekend.
“Yes, he’ll not travel with the team to
Ouagadogou. He’s off to Belgium on medical
grounds,” a source told Sports Vanguard.
