THOUGHTS ON INDEPENDENCE.

It is with mixed feeling that Nigerians usually spend their independence day. This year's own is not different. what with the tensed state of the nation fuelled by a zealous leader trying to clean slate and save the nation by 'persecuting' corrupt officials, boko haram and its reign of terror, banter from the election tribunals and lots of other issues bothering the country.
55years should have been an age to relax and enjoy the fruits of ones labour, but 55years for my country has been grossly stagnant with little or nothing to write home about. leaders getting more corrupt with the day, economy held to Ransom by a few, mass unemployment, insecurity, rise in crime rate etc. Every leader comes in to feed himself and his people with no thought for the masses.
Miracles should not be expected from government because they cannot perform it. we as Nigerians must come together, rid ourselves of greed and fill ourselves with patriotism to lift and portray our nation in good light to the world. CHANGE will never happen completely now. it is a slow process! The president has shown signs of a good breed. we pray God's strength and wisdom on him to lead this once great country high again!
