The Commandant General of Nigeria Security and
Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Abdullahi Gana
Muhammadu said the corps would prosecute and
withdraw the license of private guards companies
(PGCs) who failed to submit security reports from
their domain.
A statement by the corps spokesperson
Emmanuel Okeh quoted the commandant saying
the corps would not tolerate illegality, sabotage
and espionage among the PGCs.
“NSCDC is ready to prosecute any Private Guard
Company found wanting in the discharge of their
duty.
Failure on their (PGCs) part to submit security
reports in their domain of operations will lead to
the withdrawal of their licenses,” he said.
Abdullahi unfolded his new year package to the
PGCs by offering them and their personnel free
training to enhance capacity building in the Civil
Defence College of Security Management,
Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Gana implored them to work hand in hand with
Security Agencies nationwide and report any act
inimical to the Security of life and property of the
citizenry.
