Days of old....

Gone are those days when we bless our meal before we eat, nowadays, we just bring out our smart phones, stretch it over the food, switch on the camera, take a picture and upload it on Facebook to impress, amuse, torment, excite and oppress friends that do not care...

Gone are those days when we shielded the images of our new bundle of joy, for fear of demonic attack by suspected family and friends. These days... we just take their fresh, innocent pictures on delivery with blood still dripping on their naked bodies, broadcast and splash over the internet for the free view of technical witches and virtual wizards...

Gone are those days that we rescue one another at accident scenes by taking them to the hospital for urgent medical attention, these days, we 'help' them by taking their dying, gory and graphic pictures and uploading on Facebook with the caption 'You will not die prematurely in a fatal accident like these unlucky ones. To claim this prayer, click like, write Amen and share'. Weird and crazy, huh?

Gone are those days when men had meaningful conversation with the women they love, these days, men and women just go out on a date to eat and press their phones. We are together, but not altogether. We are two bodies in different locations. I can see you, but I am chatting with the whole world. At your expense.

Gone are those days when people get married quietly with a Priest on the Altar, kiss themselves and start a family, nowadays, we marry on the internet, whilst the Priest says: 'You may now kiss our wife and upload the picture on Facebook'

Gone. Are. Those. Days. Gone. Forever.
