The emergence of an APC governor in plateau state was really not due to the popularity of the party in the state or due to the popularity of the then governorship aspirant now governor; Bako Lalong. The party was barely emerging then in the state and the aspirant was what one can call an obscure politician hardly seen and heard.
APC won the state because of the morbid desperation in which the masses in the state wanted the tenure of Jang to end! with the victory of Buhari and with his prudent and honest history,many thought the change mantra of the APC and BUHARI would rub off on the state governor,but recent events proved otherwise!
since inauguration, no visible project on ground except an IDP center, he did not pay the 7 months owing state workers as he promised he would despite getting the federal government bailout fund meant to settle debts incurred by the past government, instead of sitting down to work on issues of insecurity in the state, he has been travelling abroad frequently of late. All these says a lot of what to expect.
Hoping the governor the governor wears a serious disposition on issues of import to the state if not,what happened to the past government will be little compared to what this governor will face.
