The National Youth Service Corps management, NYSC, has disclosed reasons behind the delay
to pay some of the recently discharged Batch C corps members their entitlements for
September and October.
The management explained in a statement on Wednesday that the reasons for the delay were
due to failed bank transactions and the inability banks to reprocess payment.
DAILY POST recalls that few weeks ago, some corps members had taken to the media to
protest their unpaid two months salaries while others claimed the management owns them
almost 8 months’ unpaid benefits, alleging that their monies must have been diverted.
However, the management has in a statement absolved itself of the allegation, saying that the
Scheme forwarded the money on time in order for the recent out-gone corps members to be
paid.
NYSC further blamed failed banking operations for the delay in
crediting the accounts of the affected corps members.
A site that looks at the good, the bad and even the sordid details of socio-political issues of all ramifications just the way they happen. Enjoy!
